Today, we are going to learn the phrase, 'look out for' which means to be aware of one's surroundings in order to look for or be aware of something, to watch over someone to ensure their wellbing, to try to find someone(something) or meet somebody, etc. Let's take a look at example sentences.

1) To be aware of one's surroundings in order to look for or be aware of something

 ① It is always worth looking out for pickpockets if you are on the subway.

  당신이 지하철을 타고 있다면 소매치기를 조심하는 것은 항상 가치 있는 일이다.

 ② You should look out for slippery rocks on the shore. You can fall down.

  당신은 해안에서 미끄러운 바위를 조심해야 해요. 미끄러 질 수도 있거든요.

 

2) To watch over someone to ensure their wellbing
